Kruger says, "Jenni's message is right on."

That was one of Jenni's better columns. A good read.

And she's right on.

I wonder if he realizes that she has also written that the Kruger hire is a letdown? :D

I think it is pretty refreshing to see him admit he reads the papers. We know all the coaches do but very few of them admit to it. Comments and acknowledgements such as this should buy himself and the program a pass or two in the future.

I've liked the hire from the get go, even though I was in the camp to give Capel another year. He's done all the right things since then to win over many skeptical fans and has energized a nearly dead fan base. I only hope this last's through the first losing streak.

not really sure OU fans hafta dread a huge losing streak or a large number of losses. He's not completely starting from scratch and many in the conference are starting fresh.

I guess little Jen will be writing articles for ESPN soon..

What does Jenni Carlson look like?

Hot? Ug? Decent?

Aside from missing Ryan Minor, she was pretty close to right. Traber hates her, so I give her the benefit of the doubt.

Oklahoma Kids at OU:

Blake Griffin
Wayman Tisdale
Alvin Adams
Brent Price
Ryan Minor
Stacy King
Bryant Vann
Tyler Neal
David Godbold
Taylor Griffin
Anthony Bowie
Kermit Holmes
Renzi Stone
Jason Yanish
Hootie Wylie
Stacy King
Ebi Ere
DeAngelo Alexander
Keith Clark
Tony Crocker (sorta of - he grew up in Lawton but went to high school in San Antonio)

I know I am missing a bunch of guys. Please feel free to add them.

What I would note most is that perhaps the 6 best players (Blake Griffin, Wayman Tisdale, Alvin Adams, Ryan Minor, Stacy King and Brent Price) were all from Oklahoma. (I recognize you can debate about the placement of Ryan Minor and Brent Price on the top 5 list but they certainly belong near the top of an best ever list).

I would also note if you did this for OSU some of their best ever would also be from Oklahoma. Bryant Reeves, John Starks, Richard Dumas, Randy Rutherford, etc. (OSU fans could do a much better job). There are and always have been a lot of local kids that are quite good at basketball. Arkansas has had some really strong Oklahoma kids on their teams (I think Lee Mayberry was a Tulsa kid).
