As near as I can tell, the KU fans are indicating that he is only the first to be interviewed, but not the favorite. They anticipate others will be interviewed.
SFA has not been very good these last couple of years. By Elite I am meaning I just do not see KU hiring someone from a Mid Major program that has not even been to the NCAA tournament in a while. If I were to hire someone from a Mid Major to take over the KU Job it would be someone like Jody Adams From Wichita State, Kenny Brooks at JMU, Michelle Clark Heard At WKU, Or a top assistant somewhere. I have read multiple sources stating that KU had expressed interest in Nielle Ivy from Notre Dame and others.
KU is a great place to Jump start a career and program. Great place, Location, Fan Base, history, I would even reccomend Ontijes from Hutch Jc To jump start his career at KU with all the success at the JUCO level.
