ku @ OU Tickets

So a few weeks ago, soonersports.com indicated single game tickets for this game would go on sale 12/2 (this morning at 8:00 a.m.). Well, I went to the site this morning and now they indicate tickets go on sale for this game on 1/14/2016. We usually bring 20 plus people down from Wichita with us and need 22 tickets together this year (never had a problem before). I fear with the tickets going on sale that close to the game, that may be a problem.

Anyone know why they pushed the date back?

Kansas is really good this year. OU is really good this year. I'd imagine OU's athletic department wants as few Jayhawks in the LNC as possible, and by pushing back the single-game sale date, they increase the chances of OU fans buying the tickets, as it's likely that OU fans will get more interested in the team over the next six weeks as football season becomes less of a distraction (relatively speaking, yes I know the team is in the playoff but there are no games for the next month).

Plus, I believe the athletic department just put a couple of 3-game mini-plans on sale, one of which includes the KU game. So I'd assume they want to sell as many of those as possible before putting the single-game tickets on sale.

That being said, if you contact the athletic department and say you have a 22-person group for the KU game, I suspect there's a chance they might sell a block of tickets to you guys. I have no clue how the group ticket process works for OU basketball, but there have been plenty of groups at the LNC for the first three home games. Granted, KU will be much better attended than any of those.
