KU vs UK

No one looks unhappy to me....

They've bought in, and Cal can sell it to anyone.

All he has to say is that Anthony Davis took the 5th most shots on the national title team, and still won National Player of the Year, National Defensive Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year, Final Four MVP, and an Olympic Gold Medal with Lebron and Kobe all in his freshman season.

Do you think after hearing that, that they care if they score 30 or not?

Like I said, no one looks unhappy to me.

It's a long season, and they are young kids. A lot of freshman walls to hit around finals and conference tourney time. I think they'll win the national championship and make it look easy ... but that doesn't mean they'll do it gracefully.

PS - Duke is the second best team hands down.

On the post game they were talking about how UK has five guys over 6'9" and a 6'10" that plays like a guard. It's not fair.

this is why I think KU will not win the Big 12 this year: they do not have the kind of guards they have had in the past. They struggle to shoot the 3, which crowds the lane with their skilled bigs.

they've had PG problems since Chalmers left. Taylor could be good but he could also be bad. Tharpe is not the answer. KU has always been driven by its guard play. When that's good then they can be special.

Cal is the ultimate salesman and he has the best product in college basketball to sell. He can preach it doesn't matter what your stats are, if you come to Kentucky and buy into the system you will get drafted. He can back that up with 15 1st round picks since he has been there. Daniel Orton barely played and was a 1st round pick. Kidd Gilchrist was the 2nd over all pick and he can't shoot to save his life. They have the best chance to go undefeated in a long time and I would be surprised if they didn't. They are scary good.

Of the teams I've seen, I'd go:
1. UK
2. Duke
3. Wisconsin
(Haven't seen Arizona yet)

The only team that can beat Kentucky this year is.....Kentucky.

Their talent and depth advantage is ridiculous over everyone.

Like some others said, if they stay hungry, they have a great chance to go unbeaten. It's going to take a Villanova over Georgetown game to beat them.

i think there is a very real chance that duke can play with them

duke has the best big man in the country .. size and lots of shooters ..

Call me crazy but I think Wisconsin would beat Kentucky... They've got size athletes and experience... They're my pick to win it all this year. Or should I say runner up to our boys :)

I also agree with Boulder I think Duke could beat them as well... If UK opponents aren't hitting from the perimeter they have no shot of winning though.
