Last time OU lost 6 games in a row?

Capel's first year...we lost the last six games of the regular season.
 
We lost 6 in a row during the '91 season.

Just realized something else while researching that.....if we lose out.....and have a 9 game losing streak to end the season.....this team will have lost more games (or the same in one instance) in a row then 6 of Kelvin's last 7 teams lost during any individual season. OUCH!

I never liked Sampson much, but that dude could polish a turd.
 
Capel's first year we lost the last 6 regular season game. If we just went something like 3-4 during that stretch we have a chance at making the NCAA.

Kelvin never had a losing streak over 4 games. He had about 5 4 game losing streaks including 2 in the NIT year. 1 IN the Sweet 16 year. But 4 was his max.

Billy had a 5 game losing streak and 2 4 game losing streaks his first year. And a 6 game losing streak in 1991.

He just set it up and you guys knocked it down. This was not an innocent post to find out a stat that would take 2 seconds to look up on ESPN.com. This was just another attempt to crap on OU basketball, and it was a success.
 
Kelvin was a great coach but, oh well, he wanted to coach somewhere else.

Seems kind of sad for us to sit around bellyaching about a coach who didn't want to be at Oklahoma anymore.

I was asked by a friend when the last time OU lost 6 games in a row was, I really didnt know, so I asked.. I didnt know OU lost 6 in a row during Capel's first year.

If I was going to come after Capel or OU basketball, I would just come out and do it. I wouldnt disguise some secret agenda, lol...

It has little or nothing to do with Kelvin, and is more of a statement about how bad things are, compared to our history.
 
I posted this a few weeks back, but the last time ou lost 8 and/or 9 games in a row was the 69/69 season.


Tubbs had 1 team lose 6 games in a row and Sampson never lost 6 games in a row.

How many D1 schools have gymnastics? Wasn't it about 20? Are they still on probation?

Well, we can always hold out hope, but I have seen very little improvement in multiple areas throughout the season this year.....for various reasons. So nothing leads me to think that we are going to be significantly better next year. Next year, I could see us finishing around .500 based upon some improvement and better effort.

We would have had a hell of a time going 3-4 in six games. Just sayin'.
