We actually have a one-in-four chance to win our next three games since none of them will be against top-25 schools. As such, I don't see any path to 19-15 getting us on the bubble. We would clearly need to beat one of the better SEC schools to get on the bubble. That would put us at 20-15. I still don't think it will be enough, but we'll at least be in the conversation. 21-15 would mean two wins against the best schools in the SEC. That may very well get us in.

No point in getting too far ahead of ourselves since we also have a good chance of finishing 16-16. Austin is not a difficult place to win ...though we seem to make it difficult.

If we win Saturday and then two games in Nashville that would be two wins against tournament teams (R1 is garbage R2 is 6 seed in SEC). Would make it interesting.

People’s inability to understand bracketology is staggering. 19 wins is what we had going into the conference tourney last year and it was the bare minimum to get us in. Had we lost the first game of the tourney last year, we likely would have been a 10 seed with our 19-13 record that included neutral court wins over Michigan, Arizona, and Louisville. And of by the way, we played in the best conference in the country. How anyone could think that we could make it this season at 19-15, with zero noncon wins that move the needle and while playing in a significantly weaker league, is beyond me.

We were an 8 seed last year - not even close to the bubble. I'd bet you also argued for Oregon over OU for the 1 seed in 2016 troll

I'm guessing that post raised the blood pressure of a few on the board . If we can beat Texas, we would be able to get ourselves on the bubble with 3-4 wins in the SEC Tournament. 4 wins would put us at 21-15. Regardless, I don't see "one more year" unless we make it to the Dance. Watching us play at a high level now just makes those losses against Mississippi State (lopsided) and South Carolina (borderline competitive) even more inexcusable. There was absolutely no reason for us to have started 1-9 in conference play.

As bad as this year was, if he's able to get to 20 wins and an NCAA tourney, he's certainly saved his job. And deservedly so. That would make 3 straight 20 win seasons, which is something his predecessor only accomplished once in his final 5 seasons.

I can't say I'm pulling for him to save his job, but I'm certainly not pathetic enough to cheer for Texas. I would say those sort of comments mandate turning in your OU fandom badge, but you simply never truly possessed one if you utter those words.

The worst part is we have a Top-20 Off-Eff. If we JUST PLAYED FREAKING DEFENSE!!!!!!! 128th. Coaching.

This is a Top-25 roster with defense. Any defense really. Even a collapsed 2-3 zone wins us 3 more games this year.
