Why? That seems like a step down. They were 8th in an 11-team Sun Belt. The coach is only a year older. Doesn't seem to have a future to it.

I was gonna ask the same thing. Maybe it's more to the story.. Would love to see her take over a mid major and exceed expectations.
 
I would think that she would be a good candidate for the head coach of a Sun Belt team, not an assistant on a rather suspect team. There is no wagon at Georgia State that is going anywhere. The head coach might get a good offer, but not if they are 8th in the Sun Belt. You would think that the head coach would be on thin ice.
 
Don't know the reason for the move, but I would guess it is because it is way way way easier to get a D1 job from a successful D1 school than due to being a successful head coach at the NAIA level. Not sure why.

She's had some D1 experience, at N. Texas, already. Seems to have moved around a lot but maybe just gathering experience at multiple places.
