BREAKING: UT Rio Grande Valley has hired Oklahoma's Lew Hill as its next head basketball coach, sources told @CBSSports.

Used to be Texas Pan Am, guess where Kruger started

and we likely will lose Henson as well

Is he leaving before or after the final 4?

If we move crutch up, I wouldn't mind seeing Hollis price offered crutch's current role.

Also, I wish they could have waited a few days to announce...

With seniors leading the way I think that will defuse most of the potential frustrations. I think most of the players will be excited for him. If Cousins wasn't a senior I could see that being an issue.

I love Hollis but Kruger will get the right fit and qualified man for the jobs

Don't think he has been officially introduced by the school, just "sources"

Call me bias but I hope Terry Evans gets hired/wants the job.

Not only his connection to local kids but he was teammates with Jeff Webster which might help us out even more since Webster seems to get a bunch of talented kids at his school.

Don't mind losing coaches. Hate possibly losing two at the same time, and hope it isn't a distraction for the FF.

Don't hire coaches to get players. Usually doesn't work out.

I will pass on Jeff Webster. The last thing we need is an ex AAU coach because we all know those guys are seedy. Sure, he's an OU alum and an ex OU great basketball player, and he's a classmate of my wife at Carl Albert, but this isn't a multi-level marketing scheme or a beginners position. This is a position at a top big 12 program going to the Final 4.

The same for Terry Evans though he's not worked the seedy world of AAU basketball.
