Lunardi's latest

I think he's two seeds too low. We should be a 7 seed at this point -- 8 at the worst. We are in 2nd place in the 3rd toughest conference in the nation. Other schools in line with us have middle-of-the-pack conference records and fewer road wins.

Lunardi is now in line for involuntary initiation into oswhoJeff's Idiot Club! How dare he look at the actual on-court results in assessing our two programs! Doesn't he understand efficiency ratings??

We're making great progress. I think we were in Lunardi's Bracketology for one week last year. We've been a staple there for the last 6-7 weeks now.

The two placements that baffle me are Mizzou, who has absolutely gone into the crapper, is still at an 8.....and Wichita State, who just lost to Indiana State, remains a 5 seed. I believe that we are better than both of those teams right now.

lunardi is a tool. he should send thank you cards to jerry palm for inventing his job for him. lunardi just has better hair and less commitment to anything...which makes him perfect for ESPN and the lemmings that let that nonsense lead them around on a leash.

that said, i will still take any NCAA bid at this point no questions asked...given where the program is/could have been.

we are +2 on the road wins vs. home.....that could disappear right quick this month.

a win today would be huge.

Big XII is fifth according to the RPI.

If Indiana State wins the games they should down the stretch, they will be squarely on the bubble...not a terrible loss for Wichita State. The Sycamores non-conference schedule will keep them in the discussion. Wichita State's resume is pretty solid...wins over teams from each of the top 3 conferences by RPI, the SEC, VCU and Creighton.

Also, Mizzou hasn't gone in "the crapper", their only puzzling loss is to LSU on the road. Other losses to Florida, Ole Miss and Louisville are perfectly fine.

I like what OU is doing, but being placed in an 8-9 game right now is exactly where they need to be.

There must be a mix of current and projected finish in his projections. Because if we finish the season with an RPI in the top 25 and are 2nd in the Big 12 we won't be an 8 or 9 seed. More like a 4 or 5.

Mizzou has a few injuries, I know one is to Bowers who is probably their best player. He will return before the end of the season and they should be much better, so that is probably being factored into their higher seed. They also have more quality wins than we do at this point.

I can't answer for Wichita State...

I'll be surprised if the big 12 is 3rd best at the end of the season. The bottom part of the conference is terrible, and KU is overrated.
