Man I hope OSU doesnt lay an egg against Nebraska at home

If the Huskers beat CU tonight at home they would have an opportunity to get their 4th conference win against OSU in Stillwater, which would give them a tie record with OU and with a tie-breaker OU would move to last place.

They were in games late in College Station and Manhattan, but OSU should be able to handle them easily unless they go ice cold.

Of course, OU can eliminate this possibility by beating A&M on senior night. Hopefully Crocker and Wright go out with wins.

I wouldn't be so sure about that.

Much like how Colorado has been the bad Big 12 team that has been a thorn in OU's side over the years, Nebraska has often been a thorn in OSU's side.

Our 2004 Final Four team needed OT to beat them in Stillwater, and they beat us in Stillwater in 2006. We did sneak by them at home in 2008.

So while OSU is the clear favorite in that game, the chances of laying an egg are far greater than .0000000001%.

I totally and fully expect OSU to win.

But the fact of the matter is that, for whatever reason, Nebraska has given OSU teams -- even really good OSU teams -- fits over the years.

Nebraska has lost a lot of close games this year, including single-digit losses against A&M in CS and KSU in Manhattan.

It would be highly improbable, but not totally impossible, for Nebraska to win in Stillwater.

I am with Jeff on this one. I think we will win, but Nebraska will guard you. They will extend the perimeter and make it very hard on OSU. I see this as a potentiol trap game.

OSU should win but in the Big XII anyone can win any game. OSU just beat KU notwithstanding that KU is clearly a better team. However, KU went into Stillwater unprepared and got beat badly as a result. If OSU is feeling good about themselves and is not prepared to play Nebraska, Nebraska can and probably will win.

We also nearly gave away a fourth game (at Iowa State) that we had no business losing.

Totally agree with Jeff and Earl. Also, the first round Big 12 Tourney matchup that scares me most is against the Sooners.

Probably the biggest problem with OSU is its reliance on outside shooting to get things going. As good as we were against KU when shooting great, we can be just as bad the opposite directions when we're cold.

I think OSU doesn't want us in the first round either. If you are going to play a team worse than yours you should prefer it isn't a rivalry. We want nothing more than to end osu's big12 season on a disappointing note.

I guess I'm the only one that wants OU in the first round. I'd like for Ford to get his record with OU to .500. Then pull ahead next year when sweeps of the Sooners become routine.
