Watching these two players play in the post-season made me think how much it hurt Capel to miss out on these two. Now, neither set the world on fire, but they would have really helped us out.
Aziz is a big (huge) body in the middle who can alter shots and rebound. In only 17 minutes per game (on a top 15 team), he averaged 5.6 rebounds and 1.1 blocked shots.
Marquise Carter would have really helped our ball-handling and scoring from the lead guard position.
Would they have saved Capel's job? Probably not, but I believe we would have been closer to the NIT than the Huff with those two guys.
