OUhoops had a chance to chat with Le'Tre about his game and his future with the Sooners!

1. You had a lot of personal and Team success at Utah Valley, what was your time there like?

My time at UVU was something I will never forget. I met a ton of great people out there and it was amazing to see the growth and be apart of the growth of that program. I thank them for giving me the opportunity to come play there. The team last year was a team that was super connected and I think that is a reason why we seen so much success.

2. How was it to play for Coach Madsen? (Mark Madsen was the Utah Valley HC (he has now left for Cal) 2 time All American and 10 year NBA career)

Coach Madsen is a great coach and even better person. He was a joy to play for and allowed me to blossom into the person and player I am today.

3. Why did you choose OU and coming to play for Coach Moser and what are the expectations for year 1?

I chose coach Moser because he has a plan and even if you are coming to a place for 1 year, having that plan is key. He knows the game and his knowledge of the game something I look forward to understanding. The plan is to win ! And that is something that I can bring. I have been apart of that winning culture and I know that you have to give of yourself for the team to win.

4. Was location a big factor in your decision?

Coming closer to home really didn’t play to much of a part in the decision because I have been away since leaving high school. It was more of a bonus on top of the opportunity presented at OU

5. What can OU fans expect from your game?

They can expect me to play the right way and make the right play. I would describe my game as someone who can knock down shots and space the floor and I do a good job of driving and getting fouled. Then defensively I take pride in guarding the best player night in and out.

6. When do you plan to arrive in Norman to start working out with the team?

I plan on arriving in Norman a little bit after graduation, which will be May 4. I just want to get out there and get accustomed to the staff and whatever players that are there during the summer.

7. What is something that people may not know about you?

Something that some people may not know about me is that I have a twin brother but he is 5’8.

Le'Tre has got to be one of the best names for a basketball player.

Great interview, Boulder! Le’Tre is an impressive young man. I’ll be anxious to see him in a Sooner uni this fall!

Welcome to the family, Le’Tre!

Good stuff Boulder. Anxious to see this young man play.

Love this, thanks Boulder!

Again, I think this is a surprise guard for us. Will be better than expected.

Thanks Boulder. Love this kind of stuff. Helps you get to know and root for a kid.

Boulder, or anyone else: Has anyone seen him play, maybe looks at some film, and what can you tell us about him. Thanks
