I have ever watched. Those refs should be ashamed - they let NTexas beat us to death. And I believe because of what they allowed MIGHT have fed into Whitney's injury

Where Gator Parrish goes, poor officiating follows. Before I ever knew who he was, I had heard fans from every Big XII team complain about him on HoopScoop.net. He's possibly the most despised official that officiates Big XII games.

Sad thing is Whitney took repeated shots to the face before she was injured. When the game gets overly-aggressive like that, you tend to play with a certain angst and it's not necessarily natural - the flow of the game becomes a bit strained. Not saying that this is the reason things happened as they did, but the officials did let too many things get away from them tonight.

I completely agree.

It's a shame what the officials let go on out there. They beat Whitney to death before she hurt the knee. I pray that Whit is okay.

If Whitney is injured, it would be nice to ban that guy.

No doubt the officials let this game get out of hand early. Once they lose control, it is almost impossible to get it back.

It was the same thing with the UCLA game. We just get beat up on. Personally, I think our strength and conditioning coach is not doing a thing for us.

I also don't see any evidence the men we practice against are making us tougher.

I hate to say this, but if the rerfs are going to let that stuff go like that, then all you can do is slap the other team in the face on the way down the floor the way they did our girls, throw some elbows in to some stomachs, boobs, noses and chins and that stuff will come to a screeching halt.

And there are some occasions a fist to the nose would also work.

Agreed, I thought the UCLA game was pretty rough as well.

We were commenting on that last night, a well placed elbow would have done wonders on several occassions.

Even as bad as the officiating was, without the disparity in free throw shooting, we don't win this game.

If nobody else will say it...

Thank you LNC for letting the refs hear it in the second half. It has been psychologically proven that refs, because they are human and not robots (yet), do not like to be booed at and hated by home crowds, hence home teams usually getting better calls than visiting teams. By letting the refs hear it (with Sherri probably leading the charge from what I saw on TV, hehe), the refs knew that they were WRONG and that they needed to FIX THE SITUATION IMMEDIATELY.

So, thank you, LNC. Please continue to give the refs hell whenever you want more free throws, or at least less face punching. :D

:clap

Was pretty sad but I think it's pretty normal. Officiating is terrible all over, men's and women's, OU or not. Women's is the worst, however. Saw Sharane had to leave game right at the end with a bloodly mouth! These officials missed so much on both sides last night. And we still shot 40 FTs!

The sad thing is, there doesn't appear to be any evidence that they feel the need to fix the situation permanently.

Am I the only one who thinks the officiating with the 3 person crew is worse than it used to be when there were only 2 referees?
