But this year we return a fairly solid core plus AMbaye and a recruiting class. I am optimistic

True, but the hype generated last season came from fans like us, not Coach Kruger. I get the impression that he is a lot more optimistic about our prospects for the future, now that he'll have more depth to work with, not to mention the addition of an athletic, versatile player like Amath. I feel the same way.

Leadership is tested and proven against adversity....there is no adversity in Sept/Oct.

Not saying it isn't better this year, but there is nothing to draw a conclusion it has. Hopefully the addition of M'Baye and the maturation of other players will add to the leadership.
