Must Read: Buddy Hield worked himself into a sure bet

Buddy's improvements since last season have been nothing short of remarkable.

Some believed he would be wise to come out last year, despite the fact that most experts thought he would be a second round draft pick at best. I still remember that poster from the Bahamas who continued to argue that Buddy would be making a mistake to return for his senior season. I have a feeling that poster's interest was more about how much money he could make than what was best for Buddy. In case you're interested, I checked the poster's profile and he has not been around this season.

I don't think there is any question that Buddy made the right decision. Anyone who is familiar with the work ethic he has demonstrated his entire OU career, should have known that no one would work harder to improve. And, get better he did!

I couldn't be happier that he chose to come back to OU for his senior season!!!

EDIT: I received a PM this afternoon from the poster I referenced in my comments above. He assured me that his interest in Buddy was not monetary, and I believe him. He also said he still stops by the board to read, and I, for one, hope that continues.

I apologized to him in my response, and I do it again publicly!

Loved this from the story. It's an amazing stat.

Six times this year he has scored 30 or more (by comparison, the other 133 players in the Big 12 have combined for the same number of 30-plus point outings this year).

I'm so happy for Buddy. It's not the norm to improve that much, even with hard work and dedication. Just great it worked out for him.

I pretty much had no doubt Buddy made the right decision last spring, when at 11:00 on a Friday night after a baseball game I saw him riding his scooter through the LNC parking lot to go to the gym. He was going to work. On a Friday night. He wasn't going to fail.

You are a good man. It is one of the things I admire most about you.

Are you sure? I am not sure anyone has worked as hard as these guys and they have all improved more than normal.
