Kid has hops, who is he playing AAU ball for this Summer?

He plays for the Tulsa Elite, a team with 6'7 forward from Tulsa Washington, Phabian Glasco, and 6'5 foward Chris Bates of Tulsa Central. Sedrick Johnson, a guard from Tulsa Union is also on that roster. It will be interesting to see if Athletes First will try and make an attempt to get him. Most of these kids love their AAU program, but at the same time understand that exposure is a plus for their careers.

There are three really good 2012 aau teams in Oklahoma. Next Level Ballers, a team based out of Lawton with Dre Wright of Lawton Ike, Quinton Paras of Lawton, and Corbin Byford of Velma-Alma. The Oklahoma Elite 2012 with 6'5 forward Jake Bullard of Vinita who has emerged into a top target for Tulsa, LJ Ross of Tulsa Victory Christian, and Jacob Bittle of Bixby. The Tulsa Elite make up the next good 2012 team.

I think at a certain point its better to stay with your current team as long as they get you to the bigger events like the Real Deal, GASO, etc. If you're good enough you will get the buzz at those events and get seen by national guys. At AF they become so stacked with talent that they spend most of the time on the bench as back ups behind guys who have been in program.

The only events that AF gets people too that no one else in the state can go to is the 3 EYBL events. So you have to weigh the options between being a role player on AF and getting all the Nike swag or getting the big minutes and trying to get noticed on a smaller team.
