Didn't see the Cameron game. But, after watching the UCO game, my initial thoughts are as follows:

Nicole Griffin is improved.

KK looks really looks improved from her freshman year. Looks like she is in great physical condition. Looks sleek.

Love the freshman. Kellogg looks fast and athletic for a big. Edwards will be a different and terrific backup to Hook. Carter looks like she is going to be a good player. Wyatt is young hook.

Everyone else looks more experienced and improved.

We were a little ragged but that is to be expected early in the year.

And finally, I love the speed and quickness Edwards and Carter bring to our perimeter play. Something tells me that Sims at Baylor is going to see a lot of Edwards/carter. I think both can stay in front of her, which is something we haven't been able to do until now.

I think I mentioned this before, but I was told by some that the Carter kid was one of the most underrated kids coming into D1 this year. I couldn't tell from last night if I agree with that, but I see talent.

Hands down, the deepest team of the Coale era. I think we are in for a fun year.

Norm, we think alike on most everything, but I disagree with you on the KK/Nicole debate. I think Nicole starts if healthy. If KK starts, it will only be for someone else. That is just an opinion. You certainly might be right. I do think that last night KK looked like the best player on the court, so I see what you are seeing. But, I just think Nicole is so unique and makes us different. Who knows.

I've seen a couple of plays that demonstrated the excitement over Carter, but only a couple. Sherri says she is injured, restricting her mobility. I want to see her healthy. I think I can see what turns Sherri on. But, I haven't seen much of it.

Syb, like you a saw a couple plays that showed me she might have something to her, but her overall play was a little non-descript for me to form an opinion.

I know one thing, either the UCO girls (and ours) are really slow or she is really fast, particularly with the ball.

I can't wait to see more of her. I really liked all of the freshman, every one of them.

I thought the Cameron players were better athletes than UCO. She ran on them as well. She has quickness. But, I just didn't see it used effectively except for a couple of times. It's like a momentary flash that disappears and goes quiet.
