NBA influence on Kruger?

A number of times this year Kruger has kept timeouts in his back pocket and didn't use them to stop runs or set up plays in particular in the second half. Seems like he wants his team to stem the runs on their own like NBA coaches do typically. Whereas most CBB coaches typically micromanage these times (and some times too much IMO because it is all about their "greatness" as a coach).....I think there should be something in the middle. Thoughts?

Earlier in the season, the Sooners really struggled when the other team put on the press late in games. The fact that LK had saved his TOs until the end really helped in those games.

When the other team is making a run, I like to see coaches use their TOs to stem the tide. In hindsight, I would guess that LK wished he had called a TO at about the 6:30 mark to (1) calm the team down, (2) set up a good scoring play and (3) get Osby back in the game.

I would like it if someone asked him in an interview. I am sure he has a reason for what he does and he probably doesn't consider it a secret.

Tubbs saved his timeouts also, but partly to not let the other team catch its breath. I like saving most till late when it may become a chess match but late starts about the 6 minute mark not 2min. Obviously a timeout effects both teams. We may want to draw up a play but they may change their defense. Bottom line have the right people on the floor down the stretch.

The last couple minutes of an NBA game takes 30min because of all the timeouts.

we really needed a timeout when ISU cut it to 6...we were on our heels.
