Don't think they are a troll either, but the criticism of Chavez not being a star in the making was something I disagree with completely along with saying the coaching staff screwed Reagan and Payton.

Need to build up this roster with more athletes and better shooters from 3. Need 2 centers too.

Yes. That’s what I said. We made the entire year about a freshman, and she never shot efficiently. Will she get better? Sure. We gave her the green light to shoot us out of games and try to win by herself. Which in turn, caused others to hunt for their shots. Look at first half of Sweet 16 again. You have a Beers and Verhulst, then you use them. Raegan’s draft stock is based on numbers too. More times than not, the ball was in the air before Raegan was able to set up. I don’t blame Chavez for this, she’s a freshman. And I think she improved with that as the year went on, until they faced a tough opponent. The coaches have an obligation to the entire team to correct that. You all say the players don’t seem to mind, but I can guarantee you they do and did. Efficiency matters And teammates care if you’re only shooting 5-20. We’ll lose some because of it. And If Chavez leaves, people will say it’s because the coaches didn’t recruit better players around her. She knew the system and roster before she came and wanted to be the main player. I think the young lady is great, but a blind man can see what is going on. And I don’t think 4 years in an Oklahoma jersey was ever her father’s plan. There’s no loyalty to the name on the jersey anymore. Maybe that’s what makes me less of a fan, because I care About the the Big Picture and the Future. Save this and you’ll be coming back to it.

I do hope we hit the portal hard for posts and older shooters, Chavez stays, the rest stay and we get big athletic guards who know how to run the system that isn’t going to change. I think if she gets those kind of players, the system can work with defense by quicker guards. I’m not disappointed making the sweet 16, although I seem negative. I’ve been through the worst of seasons in every sport. Maybe I’m a grump but I care about these athletes. Maybe I need to close my ears more around me.

I agree with you. A little. I personally do not want no senior shooter. I want players we can have a couple of years with, not 1 and done. I think we have to get 4 players out of the portal. 2 bigs and two Guards. Maybe 1 guard honestly. But we definitely need more than 1 bigs without questions.

2 guards and 2 posts would be great but i know that won't happen. I think it's crucial to get 2 center types to replace Beers' production and then some, and also 1 veteran type (junior OR senior) guard that can maybe even run point so Vann and Chavez can play off the ball more, idk if that'll happen. If we get nothing then I think it'll be because we have zero NIL funds after retaining our current roster, or Norman, Oklahoma just isn't that attractive of a destination for the elite type of players we need to move this program up a notch. Cautiously optimistic JB & staff know what they need to do.

I think we are looking at one big and one guard. I would like 2 bigs but they just aren’t that common. One thing we learned last year is she doesn’t want dead weight sitting on the bench. When you start trying to fill the two deep the quality just isn’t that good. I don’t think she will go over 12-13 people.

I don't follow them at all but am I wrong that we essentially tried to make this game into a track meet against a team that is even better at track meets than we are? (I think I heard the announcers say we were like top 10ish in pace but theyre like top 4)

OU is #1 in pace. South Carolina is 104th. The pace was not the issue haha. Those pace # are from Torvik. CBB analytics has OU at 1 and SCAR at 95.

It might not have been "pace" whatever stat it was, we were a little worse than they were. Any idea what I might be thinking of?
