It did seem as though the winning pitcher of the Bama-OU series would win this award, but I'm pleased it didn't work out that way. Congrats, Paige! The future is bright, y'all.

Hard to argue against 4 perfect games, so Paige clearly deserved it. Bama pitcher is really good, but her coach hurt her chances when he pulled her rather than let her face Lauren. The coach didn't have confidence in her to face our best HR hitter. Even though it didn't work out, Gasso had confidence to let Paige pitch to their best HR hitter.
