Iowa St 4 in AP 2 coaches
WVU 14 in both

In the Cyclones' last two games, they've beaten a 5-3 North Dakota State team by 20 and a 4-5 Illinois team by 11.

In that same span, we've beaten Central Ark by 43 and a 6-3 Wisconsin team (that could be fairly said to be on the rise) by 17.

My thoughts exactly, skyvue. Our Sooners may, or may not, deserve to be ranked in the upper echelons of the Top 10; but beating every team we play and still falling in one – or both – polls makes no sense.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the Wisconsin victory was included in last week's poll. IOW, all we did this week is beat a horrendous C Ark team.

Actually, I don't. I don't even check the rankings. If they weren't posted here, I wouldn't even know what we were ranked. But it'd be nice, wouldn't it, if they made a modicum of sense, if one could grasp why our undefeated team goes down in the rankings and another team that so far hasn't outachieved us goes up. That's all.

ESPN is probably trying to figure out if Nova was missing any starters, so they could trash the accomplishment like they've been doing with our football wins over OSU, TCU and Baylor (or at least some of their guys have been doing this). :facepalm
