Was she Highly recruited in Highschool?
What I like about her game is that she is so unpredictable!

Nope a complete diamond in the rough! An incredible find by Kim from Tennessee and wasn't even on the Vols radar! She reminds me a lot of Sophia Young with more talent.

Its like she doesn't jump and she just gets the rebound or something... She played on a decent high school team, they were ranked, she played with danielle ballard (LSU) and Aaaliyah whiteside (GA Tech) I wonder how the SEC let her get away...

A lot on this board mentioned 2017 commit Ana Llanusa's.
Great comparison I agree myself.

Wrong! Got Mulk should do her research. According to Nina's bio on the Baylor Site she was a Parade All-American, Tennessee Gatorade POY, Tennessee Miss Basketball. Certainly not under anyone's radar.

Nina Davis, good prospect in high school, elite player in college. There is a gap there.

It is kind of surprising that any OU fans would have questioned how good Nina Davis is. Even as recently as a couple of months ago, people were discussing whether Gioya Carter was better than Nina Davis. That makes no sense at all.

I know that some fans do tend to be homers though. For example, during the Baylor vs OU broadcast this year Whitney Hand said that Baylor was "just another team." Right.

TC, nobody questioned how good Nina is. There was a point where Gioya was having a streak of 20 point games, and she looked that good also. The difference of course is that Nina has continued to do it all season long. As for Whitney's comment, for the game she was commenting on, Baylor was indeed, just another team.

As for some fans being homers, you would include yourself in that group, wouldn't you?

From what I've heard Nina Davis high school team was really good and she was just a Role player. Undersized posts making transition to wing is by far the hardest thing to do. Many schools passed on her such as Tennesse cause she was so undersized, I bet they are regretting that now. Her 2nd choice would of been Georgia Other than Baylor. After being name Tennesse miss basketball recruiting started to heat up but she was already Verballed to Baylor. So I would consider her a diamond in the rough as well.

I do try not to be a homer. First and foremost I try to be realistic about things. And I do try to give respect where it is due.

During the first half of the Big 12 conference's existence, Oklahoma and Sheri Coale led the pack in WBB. Back then I would have never referred to Oklahoma as "just another team." In fact, I wouldn't refer to you that way even now. Everyone should agree that OU is easily a cut above most other teams in this sport.

By that some token, during the second half of the Big 12 conference's existence, Baylor has been the dominant WBB program. For anyone to call us "just another team" is ridiculous. When Whitney made that comment I think that she was getting carried away with her competitive spirit....... aka, a homer :)

TC, that post reeks of homerism. That's all right, we understand. But this is not your home, and it's pretty rude of you to come into OUR home and denigrate those we respect.

She was not highly recruited so IMHO that means under the radar! With all those accolades you would think her own state of Tennessee would look at her but that's their loss!!! I mean most people have never heard of her until the end of last year so.............
