Heard he was not enrolled at Ardmore, did he move to another school or just drop out altogether?

Sorry if already answered in another thread.

It's been interesting in the Daily Ardmoreite (on-line version, since I live 600 miles away). They haven't even had a single on-line story about boys' basketball. I was getting curious about him myself. But I did see in the DOK that he wasn't listed on the preseason Class 5A All-State team, so I had a hunch he was gone.

Today's Ardmore newspaper hinted that Jackson is in school but ineligible for the first semester at least. I don't know if he's a bad student or just lazy (we had a guy like that in football who was a great talent but just not smart, back when I was at AHS 36 years ago). But if he is somewhat intelligent, I hope he can find someone who can make him "wake up."

Where does a kid get the money for all those tatoos and how do you sell it to your parents? I don't have children but I really don't think I would be all that understanding or approving of my child wanting a bunch of tatoos. To the extent I could control them, I would really try to make them wait until they were 18.

More than likely, his parents look just like this (albeit, in an old-school kind of way)...I say it all the time to my wife..."kids get this way BECAUSE of their parents...not in spite..."

Worked a game with a guy over a year ago who has some sort of family ties to Nino in Ardmore (he played football for them back in the day). Told me he would be shocked if Nino ever qualified for collegiate ball at the Division I level. That's why I kept asking last year if anyone knew he could make the grades.

Oh, and just to follow up, as a general rules today, and no offense but...parents suck...

It's illegal in Oklahoma for an 18 year old to get a tattoo.

Not that playing AAU ball hasn't taken him to dozens of other states, but I don't think there's anywhere in the US where a minor can get a tattoo without the written consent of his parents, and I doubt he went off to all those AAU tournaments with a letter from mom saying he could get a tattoo.

No responsible tattoo artist would do that to a high school kid anyway, though, so I doubt observing the legal requirement was a major issue.

I'm sure they all carry an important meaning for him...

Unfortunately, they are not a human "cheat sheet" so he can [get] stay eligible. That's what I'd do, sleeves with answers to all of my tests.

If he paid for those, he got robbed.

my team play them in the playoffs and he didn't play because of Grades

that crap gets expensive too. I know a guy who got basically his whole right arm (wrist to should) covered with no color and it cost him $1200 total. It wasn't even that detailed and he claimed he got it cheap. I'm guessing some of nino's are some back alley tats.
