No excuses on Newell

Just watched his workout video and it confirmed what we knew from his high school and prep stats, the video of him dominating that prep tournament and recruiting interest from powerhouses like Uconn and Florida: he is a stud with the talent to be in the Mookie Blaylock, Hollis Price league.

Given his belated qualification Capel needs to be working with him, his teachers, tutors, anybody and everybody 24-7 to make sure his academics are in order.

No Keith Clark excuses.

Calvin is a great kid who is hungry to succeed. He needs guidance and support to help him reach his goals.

I couldn't agree more. I'm sure capel is all over this... I'm sure he knows he needs to stat on top of it just to make sure no problems arise.... if he doesn't it would just be another huge coaching mistake and after last year I can't see him doing that again
