He played solid D and passed well. I hope he can get some more confidence on O.

He takes his eyes off the bucket at the last instant. I hope he can hit some FTs and shots to get an all around game.

Easily the best game he's played here. Love him. Great piece to have in your rotation. Guards hard, multi-defender, good passer, great body (athletic and strong), takes charges, loose ball guy. Potentially a poor man's Justice Winslow. Shooting will come along as he gets used to the new mechanics.

Good call on the Justice Winslow comparison. I think the SF position is the key for us this year no matter who is playing it. We need production out of Odomes, Buford or Mcgusty there.

If the athletic lefty can get his offensive confidence going he will be AWESOME!

Odomes reminds me of all those West Virginia guys that Huggy rolls out there.

Well, he's a better looking kid than anyone Huggy ever signed at WVU :ez-laugh:. But it was still a valid point.

I think we've only seen the tip of the iceberg as far as what Odomes can bring to this OU team. He's a really good defensive player. ..... noticed he was at the top when OU went to a zone the other night. He's very quick for a stout 6'6" wing. He's a good passer and takes the ball to the rim with authority. His outside shot still needs work, but he does a lot of the little stuff that don't show up in a box score. I can't wait for him to relax and we start seeing some of his game that he shows in practice every day.

When I first saw Odomes, I thought he had the most potential of anyone since Blake. But, it is an untrained potential that needs to be under control. It is a matter of if and when he grows up.
