This is an obvious example of how Big 12 Officials control the games and outcomes to Texas schools advantage. When was the last time a team had 7 players foul out while the opposing team had 1. When was the last time that our girls were ahead by 7 points and there were 11 min left when suddenly the officials called 7 fouls on us and Texas shot 7 free throws and moved ahead of us by 2 points. Still our girls fought back and regained the lead just to have the game tied and go to overtime. We had already lost 4 players to fouls at this time and we had 2 with 4 and another with 3. In the first overtime texas took the lead but we fought back yet again to have 2 more players foul out. Yes texas lost their star guard in this ot but we were now playing with a full team of backup players. In ot 2 we took a 4 point lead with 3 min left and suddenly we lost the 7th player to fouls and subsequently lost the lead in the last min 30 of this overtime. Tell me TEXASSSS when was the last time you played with all your back ups in a game and still almost won. This conference is a sad conference and the future of it is not very good. We should work very hard to get in either the SEC or the Pac 12 and let all the texas schools rot in what is left. There are no real reasons to stay while the crooks down south are in control. I do not care how many of you down vote me. I do not come on here and yell and scream at every loss or complain about officiating. It has just boiled over for me. I went to watch our girls play at Texas 3 years ago and the officiating was bad, very bad but this is way worse than bad. These officials have lost all integrity and should not be allowed to officate in this league again. :oldwt356::fexas-logo:

I am one of the first to agree that the officiating sucked tonight, and favored Texas.

However, you should get your facts straight before generating a post like the one above. First, OU did not have 7 girls foul out. We lost 4: Sharane Campbell at the end of regulation, then Kay-Kay in the start of the 1st overtime, then Manning. Gioya Carter fouled out in the second OT period. Texas lost their leading rebounder and shot blocker right after Kay Kay fouled out.

You lose credibility when you post a bunch of misinformation, makes you look like you might not have even watched the game...

I must apologize but being in Korea I have to rely on the ESPN information at it appears on the site. I showed 7 girls with 5 fouls. I can not get the game on my computer at work so I have limited resources to check the facts. I tried to with those on the game thread but they seem to be preoccupied. I do not report information unless I have seen it. I stand by what I said and i can not verify from here that 7 did not foul out. I did note that the fouls were close in number but that there were way more on our starters. Please note I can only use the information as it appears on the site i was using. I continually had to reset just to keep up with the scoring. Every time Texas scored it seemed they were getting freethrows.

The odd thing to me is that the supervisor of officials apparently is some sort of honorarium and not expected to actually do anything. I knowit would be kept quiet but by doing so there is no pressure for refs to improve.

There are no "Big 12 officials" in women's basketball. I know for a fact 2 of the officials last night are officiating all over the country all season long. You see them on TV all the time. Those 2 have officiated in Norman many times as well, even this season. I'm sure there is a Big 12 administrative position that reviews officiating but there is no group of Big 12 officials.

That being said, the officiating last night was atrocious, on both sides!

I was puzzled by the charging calls. In men's hoops I think they would definitely have been called as blocking.

No need to apologize. We all understand how inaccurate ESPN is! ;)
