To give some background on Team June and Bert is that Bert while an assistant at Midwest City secured sponsorship for Team June by proposing the team to NFL star Kato June. With June out of football, they have had to do a lot of fundraisers.

Bert has had to tackle this issue to go along with teaching and coaching duties. At PC West, Bert has expressed to me that he is trying to change the culture. He has had to deal with players moving out of the district to go to other known basketball schools. The kids who stay in the district are treated to one of the most energetic and passionate coaches around. Bert has one of the more intense practices you will see.

Team June, the program that was the focus of out 2014 rankings won two games in a tournament in Mansfield, Texas. The first game they won 72-23 and the second game they won 91-68.

Sam or Will, how would the Harris kid at Midwest City compare to the Trier kid. I heard the Trier kid is Nike backed.

Harris is rightnow, and it may stay that way. Harris is quicker and more athletic. Both have highbasketball IQ s. Trier may eventually become a three point specialist. He shoots it really well and takes smart shots.

Team June went on to win the AAU Super Regionals in Mansfield Texas.
