Oklahoma Super Five

No forwards? No centers? No one over 5'10" in the Oklahoman area qualified for this team? Wow.

Llanusa has a picture on her twitter. Future teammates. Her with Dungee and Williams.

That's correct. Only 4 girls over 6'0 made All State, 2 SR. 1 JR. 1 Soph. Only 1 of the girls was in the second 5 below the Super 5.

California has a population of over 38 million, Texas 26.4 million. Oklahoma 3.8 million. The Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex has twice the population of the state of Oklahoma, so we just don't have the "high" quality of bigs you might get from larger populations. Its just the way it is. However our two young commitments that made the Super 5 have some room to grow, and would not surprise me if both are over 6'0 when they graduate from high school.

To Sherri's Credit she has had success in the state of CA, IL, KS, IA, and AR in the past, and recent success in WI, FL, and TX. She hasn't gotten the top talent in Texas in the last 3 classes, which is the state she should hit the hardest IMO. Most of the girls from Texas has been leaving the big 12 thought, Oklahoma has been producing a lot of good talent Sherri hasn't been able to get, but things are changing now with Dungee and Llanusa.

I agree, since we don't produce a lot of D-1 talent, I am glad that Sherri is starting to get some good ones that are coming up in our state. Mac, I hope you are right, maybe in the next two or three classes she can steal some of that high quality Texas talent.
