Oral Roberts forward Michael Craion will be sidelined for up to a month after hurting his right foot during Tuesday’s exhibition game against Drury.
Craion, who in August had a screw placed in the foot to help heal a fracture, doesn’t need surgery for his latest injury and likely won’t return to action until early December.
“I’m really disappointed for Michael,” ORU coach Scott Sutton said. “He worked extremely hard to get back on the floor, and to have this happen again is a really tough way to start a senior year. The good news is that when he comes back, he’ll be a big part of our success.”
Craion was the 2010 Summit League Newcomer of the Year and a preseason first-team All-Summit selection after averaging 13.3 points and 7.3 rebounds as a junior.
The Golden Eagles host Rogers State at 7:05 p.m. Saturday in their final exhibition game. ORU opens the regular season Nov. 12 at Missouri State.
