Not sure how he could get time on the NBA team for Boston. They have a plethora of forward-types currently. Maybe if they end up dealing a guy like Humphries.

When a guy like Osby can't make a roster it really demonstrates how good a player must be to play in the NBA. I hope he gets his chance. The good news is even if he doesn't he can go over seas and play. Perhaps one day he could be a college coach.

Humphries is an expiring deal and Bass might be moved as he doesn't fit in with Ainge's long term plans for the team, especially if Stevens runs his offense similar to the way he ran it at Butler.

Exactly my thoughts. This could be a situation for Ro. Celtics, along with about 4-5 other teams, are in tank mode this year.

Seems to me it's all about getting a chance, which is why I thought the Magic was such a great situation since they're going to be so awful. There are spots for guys like Osby in the league, but there's way more guys who can fill them than there are available spots. Seems like once you get a couple years under your belt, you'll probably stick around for a decade though as you'll be labelled a "veteran guy." Getting your foot in the door is the nearly impossible part though.

Osby could fill a Najera type roll on a team. A guy that rebounds, plays defense, does all the little things and can score some on garbage plays.

Maybe it's just been too long but I'd take Osby over Najera. He's certainly more skilled and I'd imagine is at least the same size as Najera was. I sure hope he catches on somewhere. Having guys in the league, even if they are on the bench, helps with recruiting.

Najera did just about everything better, IMO. Osby probably had a more consistent 15-20 foot jumper last year, but that was likely his only edge on Najera.
