When we beat Iowa State in Norman, we didn't have anyone that went off on ISU. Little got 18, but that is becoming a normal for Peyton. Gioya was only four of fourteen. Sharane scored four, but did have ten boards. We didn't get much from Vivi or McKenna. LaNesia dis score seven. Maddie had nine points and six boards. But, nobody really went off on ISU. Meanwhile, Moody had her best game of the year and couldn't miss in the second half.
Other than Moody, ISU was twelve of thirty-nine from the field, four of fifteen from three, and eight of ten from the line for 36 points. Neither Williamson nor Johnson had a particularly good game. We seemed to shut everyone down and let Moody go. She was also hitting shots she likely won't make. This may be another day like Buchner's second game with OU. After scoring 29, she scored zero.
I don't know what ISU can do to beat us. I think we have to beat ourselves for them to win, and I'm not sure we can be any less effective than we were in Norman. Gioya might even show up again.
