Re: >>>>>OU-BU Boxscore>>>>>

In the first half, it would've been impossible to believe that Baylor's missed FTs would be such a big factor.

Re: >>>>>OU-BU Boxscore>>>>>

Well, if you were to tell me that Buddy, Jordan and Isaiah would combine for 5 assists and 12 turnovers, I would have predicted a double-digit loss.

I just loved how this team played in the first half. It wasn't just the shooting, it was the shot selection (almost no bad shots), the patience, the very solid defense - both interior and perimeter, pretty much everything. I should have just turned the TV off and let that first half be my last impression.

I'm just glad we won for the seniors and Jordan. A loss after a 26 point lead would make this a worse Senior Day than the dubious benchmark set in 2003.

This team's defensive intensity and shot-making seem to be tied together. When we lose one, we lose the other very quickly.

Great game by Ryan Spangler!

15 Points on 7-of-11 shooting (6-of-7 on 2-Pointers)
13 Rebounds
5 Assists

It's been my observation that this is nearly always the case. When a team slacks off defensively, soon the offense suffers and only when the defensive effort shows up does the offense step up.

What's telling to me is that we shot only three free throws (and made two) in the second half. If we had made it to the line just a half dozen times, Baylor probably would have never got the lead late in the game.

I was happy with Buford and Walker though! This team is scary good when we want to really play Defense... On offense I actually think we should post with Spangler more way more.. He can score 3 4 times a game down there and is a very good passer. Watching these guards it just seems like they don't know how to create the contact and get bailed out ever!! Watch KU, Iowa St they do it all the time.
