*******OU-Iowa State Game Thread*******

Once again the BIGGEST thing Woodard needs to do is make CLUTCH free throws. It's one thing to make them during the game quite another when the game is on the line. Yes, Clark missed one too but that is rare. I LOVE Woodard but this is about the 5th time in close games it has been an issue. Even Lon admitted it on his radio show. That is why Lon has had him out of the game in 3 or 4 games at the end. But he is some kind of ball handler and game controller.

Dudes a freshman playing in a hostile environment.. I'm not worried at all

Well, we kept battling. Looks dim now but keep trying and see what happens. Remember Seton Hall!!!

Oh well.
Fought hard, on the road, in a tough place to play, with officiating that really doesn't benefit our style of play, with our leading scorer being practically inexistent.

Would have been a very nice win, ESPECIALLY with Kansas going down, but you can't win them all.

Are you kidding me? Woodard is playing better in the last 10 minutes of this game than the rest of it.

That's ball game. Fought hard, just didn't make the plays late you need to win these games.

ball game

Not a bad loss but need to win at WVU now.

Hey DUDE, I'm not worried either - it is a basketball game - I don't worry over crap like that.

Amazing how the PUMPERS on this board can't stand for anything slightly negative AND true to be said here - you all come out like mad dogs, lol. Well you can complain to LON since he admits what I just said too. And I will take HIS opinion over yours any old day. He obviously is worried about it since he has taken Woodard out of close games several times because of this very thing.

NICE GAME by both teams.

OU should take a lot away from this.

Buddy Hield is such a stud.

I know we lost this one, but this was a good game for us. No favors from the refs and lots of adversity, but we kept fighting. We didn't close it out, but there is a lot to learn for this game. I'm actually excited for our play.

Sooners put up a good fight. Got to guard Niang at the 3 pt line. That isn't a surprise.

Beat a top 10 team at home, lose on the ROAD to a top 15 team, nothing bad to take away from the week. But we need to beat WVU though

We also had too many shots blocked inside. And while Buddy had an excellent offensive game, he still comes up w/some silly turnovers. And Hornbeak still would rather defer from taking open shots and on one of those occasions he chose to drive the baseline, jumped in the air, and then proceeded to toss the ball to the other team. Not good.
