*******OU-Iowa State Pregame Notes/Game Thread*******

Play a really good 18 minutes and then a horrible last 2 minutes. Disappointing.

The sad part is that Iowa State really isn't all that impressive to me. They have a couple of good individual players, but Kansas looks like a better team. We should be up comfortably, but we are so limited on defense and have taken some ill-advised shots on offense....shots that we can get anytime with regards to the shot clock. I would really like to see this team beat someone they shouldn't, but they have to be smart in order to do that. And I'm not sure they are capable of that.

We are having a very difficult time penetrating and they are doing it at will. We may have to win this with jump shots.

Are you talking about Wednesday? Or the Michigan State game? Or Louisiana Tech?

Oh, you meant today.

Huge charge by Cam. Haven't seen too many of those this year the way the games have been called.

I hope Spangler is in good shape. No fouls and he needs to be in there until he has 5 (and I hope that does not happen).

How could that not be a foul? What?

When one person has the ball, and another person collides with him, sending both people to the ground, it is a foul on somebody 100% of the time. Awful no-call.

Thought that was going to go against us. Our defense has been pretty solid in the 2nd half so far. Buddy should have passed on that 2 on one break. I don't know if it's just me but it seems like we make a lot of bad decisions on fast breaks like that. Should have been a foul call regardless.

The drive and kick seems to be working. We need to keep them spread out. And something I would like to see....when we drive to the basket, don't drive out of control and flail the ball up to the rim hoping for a foul. We get into the habit of that at certain times. It usually leads to a turnover,

We need Clark to start making more jumpers.
Good thing Buddy is stepping up.

I don't know if they didn't see our 3pt % or what, but I wouldn't build a defensive gameplan around forcing us to hit 3s.
