better players for one

I am not big on blaming officials, especially after the game is over but there was a one to two. Inure stretch where I don't get the officiating. Offensive foul, over the back no call in about 60 seconds.

Some will applaud the effort in the second half, me included--however, I feel like Deja vu saying that like 4 times a year, all of which are losses. I feel we could've won that had we not let them drive to the rim on us like 4 times in a row and then boxed out/got that push foul. I just wish for once we could win one of these games, we always seem to be on the losing end of these (even as the team with the huge lead)

Thomas didn't put us down by 20

He didn't, but he sure contributed 4 TOs in the run that put KU up 20.

Listen, I'm not trying to say it's all on Thomas. Basketball is a team sport. Buddy and Cousins made their share of boneheaded plays too. But Thomas is supposed to be one of the 3 best players on this team, and twice now against good post competition he has completely withered. With Thomas playing scared and throwing the ball away, it gives our guards no room on the perimeter.

Kansas invited us back in the game but like many other games in the closing minutes we didn't come together as a team.

They fought their asses off in the second half and should be commended, but once again, this team doesn't do the little things down the stretch (blocking out, keeping your man in front of you, etc.) in order to beat a good team away from home.

This! There is a reason Kansas keeps winning these games ... they do the little well.

Severely outcoached down the stretch, Hairpiece knew he had a mismatch with Woodard and took advantage over and over. Gonna need to make some big shots down the stretch of these games to have a chance to win, came up 0s again tonight. Always next year.

Game came down the stretch and wldnt you know KU had every call go their way. God what is it going to take to win up there.

Couple bad calls, but we didn't do what we needed to down the stretch. Thomas forcing too much, our defense broke down a little. But going down by 20 at halftime is the killer. Just can't win like that.

Its a loss but come folks, its not like OU was playing a nobody..There's a reason why KU has owned us up there.

Man if we had someone who was as clutch as Foster was against us...we'd win these type of games

When Kansas couldn't buy a shot they continually hammered the ball inside and relied on free throws down the stretch to get the job done.

Tough pill to swallow..this team has an identity of choking during crunch time.

At some point, you have to win some of these close ones..

Honestly when you've seen as many L's @ Phog as a lot of us have at a certain point consolation prizes hurt more. I mean you always expect to lose but there's always that hope that something magical can happen, you know like someone just suddenly gets on fire from 3 to finish a game.

I agree, and most likely will be their undoing come March.

Oubre was not just over the back he had a lane violation. Thomsas did not push that player to the ground.

No doubt. There will be more opportunities to win close games. Maybe this Saturday in Waco.

Gotta give credit to the fellas. Man what heart break I had a bad feeling. Tried not to get my hopes up down the stretch but damn couldn't help myself. Hope we curb stomp these turtle neck wearing sob's in Norman. And as always BOOMER!

I'll agree on that...I know we are a guard originated team but they need to drive more and try to help tay and spangler comfortable early in the game. We need to work on our ball movement. When i can sit on my couch and tell who's going to shoot not good. Cousin's can't dribble the ball 50 times in a possession.
