Re: OU-Michigan State Box Score

I know it felt like they doubled our rebounds but we got them by two! Unreal. I thought Tom Izzo was on crack at half saying we got all the loose balls. I thought it bounced their way all night. It hurts when you know you had the better team and failed to secure the win. Hats off. They done exactly as the fightin Izzo's do.

Re: OU-Michigan State Box Score

Shooting is what lost it. Can't go 30% and 13% from 2 and 3 respectively, and expect to win.

Only reason we were in this cause of the FTs.

Re: OU-Michigan State Box Score

Having a couple of gaurds not play well killed us. Buddy and Woodard did their part and struggled some but Cousins and Booker were just bad. Booker is pretty flashy but Cousins struggling so much had me lost.

Cousins is total wild card. He's either really good or really bad. Booker came back to earth after a nice stretch off the bench.

Can't win these games without all hands on deck.

MSU is going to take away what you want to do, the others have to make plays and they didn't.

Shot 20% the final 30 minutes and had a chance to win.

Agreed. That was especially true in the closing minutes. But Booker going 0 of 4 from three and Cousins shooting 2 of 8 for the game turned out to be the difference for a team that has relied on making shots from the perimeter most of the season.

I was still proud of the way our guys hung in there by fighting and clawing to make the game close. That doesn't do much to erase the disappointment that comes with a disappointing loss, when you know deep down inside that things could have been different if more of those shots had fallen. Still, it was a good learning experience for our returning players, and it gives them something to work for next season.
