OU-North Dakota State Stats/Notes/Photos

The stats are interesting. I would have said Bjorklund had a better game.

OU did a horrible job defending Lawrence Alexander. That is why OU lost. He was the leading rebounder and scorer in the game.

Another thing that really hurt OU is the bench didn't produce. OU should have had an advantage from its bench but both teams had 8 points and NDSU had more rebounds.

The final glaring stat is Neal and Hield a combined 2-13 from 3 point range. Those were two of OU's best 3 point shooters on the season and they combined for 15%.

The glaring stat for me is OU's 2-point FG shooting.

13 of 42 (.309) .. 2-Point FG shooting
12 of 30 (.400) .. 3-Point FG Shooting

25 of 72 (.347) .. Total FG Shooting

From 2-point range ...

Spangler was 1 of 5 (.200)
Woodard was 1 of 6 (.166)
Cousins was 1 of 7 (.143)
Cam was 6 of 16 (.375)
Buddy was 3 of 5 (.600)

Hornbeak played 16 minutes and scored zero points, while only taking one shot.

which is what someone that didn't watch the game or read that stats would say

As a whole we shot it well but c'mon, we died by the three. Granted I had to watch on my iphone while watching 6 kids running around, it seemed that when we need points, we relied on the 3 and it wasn't falling when we needed it instead of going inside

We died by not having anyone who could or would finish at the basket. We have 3pt shooters, this offseason is time to work on cutting and driving the basket.

This picture says it all. Cousins had such a great game but I know he feels terrible after committing that foul...but it's definitely not all on him. Love this Sooner, you can tell he really cares and this season he's always been working hard on the court.
