by the time the NCAA's start. I found it really interesting that this game against Baylor is the 9th versus a top-25 opponent and that number leads the nation so far. Shades of the old Big East situation when they beat each other up all season then their fifth place or so team makes it all the way to the FF.

Our defense seems to get more and more smooth ... hoping that the tight, competitive games also help us on the other side of the court. I still don't think we're close to our groove offensively - but when we hit it LOOK OUT. I don't see many teams we couldn't hang with and potentially smoke if we're hitting on all cylinders.

I have always heard home field is worth 3 points in football. Is there some amount people generally think it gets in basketball?

I know there was a thread started for the Kansas game about it possibly being a must win but to me this feels more like a must win....500 in conference play...lost 3 of 4 but play a team, while they are athletic and a very good offensive rebounding team does not shoot particularly well..
OU I believe has beaten Baylor 4 of the last 5 meetings..this trend needs to continue..a loss here and some serious doubt will start to creep in..they must play with a sense of urgency but in a smart disciplined way

OU has to keep Gathers off the glass. To me that is the number one thing to beat Baylor. It would be interesting to hear Kruger's number one priority.

Baylor -2 in Vegas.

When the university of Oklahoma is an underdog to Baylor, there is something wrong. Kruger won't have the program back until things like that don't happen.

You're joking right?

I have to agree ... that is silly. I do think we have the horses to beat Baylor but that team is NOT a slouch. Baylor has had some very formidable talent since Drew got there and it the coaching were a bit better they'd probably have some amazing NCAA success as well.

Yeah, I can't be bothered worrying about Vegas spreads. Kruger's 5-1 over the past three-plus seasons against Drew and the Bears--that's all I care about.

Kansas was a 2 point underdog when they played at Baylor earlier this month.

I was basically accurately restating an on air Billy Tubbs quote from a couple of years ago. Oklahoma has historically had a better basketball team than Baylor. Oklahoma has a huge edge against Baylor in head to head competition. Oklahoma should always be better than Baylor in basketball.

The better team is rarely an underdog. In the years Baylor is better in basketball than Oklahoma, something is wrong. I'm with Billy on this one. But, thanks for your imput.
