I'm sorry, gary. But, I stated a fact. You may not like the fact. You may try to overcome the fact. But, it is still a fact.
Your argument is a further pretense since the great competitiveness that you describe has never actually existed. The Kentucky's, Kansas's, and Duke's of the world still dominate, and you don't see much competition from the outliers. Pick your final four this year, and it might have been the same twenty years ago.
Fact, Sherri has been to three final fours in twelve years.
Fact, the men's program has been to three final fours in its history.
You can't overcome the simple reality that this is fact.
Yes those are facts. You are trying to make the case that the women's program has achieved more than the men's. Those facts do not support your argument. You know that and you used the argument anyway. That is what I'm telling you.
Back when Sherri made her 1st final 4 that was probably about the same as a men's team making a sweet 16. The women's game has gotten more competitive since then . But not enough to be equal in difficulty of success.
Sherri has done a really nice job in the past. She continues to do journeyman's work. For some of you guys she is Wonder Woman.
