OU vs Marist

Very good story, even though OU did not run the wishbone in 1968. We installed it in 1970 against Texas. Warmack ran the 68 offense.

This should be more than a good test. We could be exposed. Marist is the type of team that will let you beat yourself. I have only seen Marist come unglued once, and they have more often given heavily-favored teams fits. It is a well-coached team, and our younger players will likely discover the right way to do things.

I just went to the Marist site and looked up their box scores. They have had a couple of games recently in which they shot over 60%. They have two players who seem to be able to have extremely good games at threes. They have actually been outshot from the three-point line and won.

They, except against Boston, don't seem to be all that good at rebounding. They seem to do everything else pretty well. Their losses: Kentucky, Albany, Princeton, Ohio State---all on the road except Kentucky. They have only played two games in Poughkeepsie, Kentucky and Northeastern.

Great story! I remember OU winning that game against Tennessee in 68! This will be a tough game, for sure!
