OU vs TCU

I think we will shoot much better today. I also look for us to take advantage of our height advantage allowing us to cruise to a comfortable win. Sooners by 12.
 
You don't get much more sloppy that we were in the first half. How many passes do Peyton and Gabbi intend to throw away? It hurt to lose Vivi so early. Treece is not yet a replacement.

Maddie, Gioya, and Kay Kay did pretty well. Three points, three blocks, and five rebounds are a nice line for a half. The only drives that we have stopped were on Maddie's blocks.

Peyton looked lost. Derica ended up with five points and made fewer mistakes.

Is Maddie the only one who can throw an entry pass?
 
First game I felt like we aren't shooting with confidence. We have struggled. But we never looked unconfident. Without Gioya on the offensive end and then TT and Maddie on Defense, we would be down by 10 again. Also TCU 0-fer from 3 not helping their cause.

Once this offense clicks, its over. We'll be able to beat anybody, but its not looking good- yet. Its probably a good thing, because I feel like we are talented in that area- and hopefully it clicks late. But it is sure frustrating in the mean time.
 
Nice 8-0 run to open the half. Let's maintain this energy, focus and execution!
 
Sherri must not be too happy with some things Peyton has been doing, POtheW
to not playing the whole 3rd quarter. Meanwhile Derica had two ugly looking turnovers, one of which should of been in Gioya's hands instantly. Treece also guarding one of the most dynamic scorers.... So this must be the game Sherri is deciding to make a point. But IDK.
 
TT. Edwards. You are the most improved player in one calendar year that I have ever seen, in any sport, any gender!
 
Solid win... They played really good D and slowed us down, found a way to win. It was a good effort.
 
Good win, great effort. ViVi was awesome down the stretch as well.
 
Too many bad turnovers. Watch those passes.

Vivi closed strongly when we needed it. Gioya carried us for a while. Good scoring by Derica, some bad passes.

I was more impressed by the fact that Kay Kay had five assists than by anything else she did.

Edwards does create havoc.

Did it seem that when he made a good run, a part of it was always due to a block or steal by Maddie? She made life difficult for TCU, at least in her area.

A solid win is beating Tx or Baylor. Remember those are the folks we used to compete with. Not knocking anyone just saying the obvious. Maybe next year!
 
I'll be glad when we develop some offense that doesnt require always trying to get KayKay ro ViVi the ball.
 
Seeing this game it person it was really ugly, but still a win. Our man to man defense was horrible but we wouldn't switch. Their center would come to a high post and vivi or KK followed them and opened up the inside for penetration by guards we could not cover. Their center was not a scoring threat from high post so we needed to stay low but didn't. I think we actually played some zone early second half but went away from it and they caught up.
I would love to see more of Ti Edwards she way outplayed Ortiz today.
