Kind of sloppy. Took some bad shots. Still shot 50%. I don't think we are paying attention.

Is Gioya at the game? I don't see her on the bench.

Gioya is sitting in seats behind the team. She hasn't even been standing although she left with team at the half. I saw her at the men's game last night and was walking fine up and down the stairs so not sure what is up.

Edit: She didn't return after half so don't know if she's ill or if she re-injured herself before the game. I arrived late.

She was on the bench early sitting on the row behind the players. She left a few minutes into the game looking woozy and sick. She had to be helped off by one of the trainers. Hope she gets feeling better soon.

Peyton played much better the second half.

Penzo, L. Williams, and Edwards all need to stop trying to dribble through traffic.

We need to get the early scoring drought together at the start of the game and after halftime. teams will eat that up and run the score up.

Very true. We haven't seen Gabbi at her best yet and I think that is having a negative impact on the offense. I expect her to start playing well very soon.

Ortiz needs to quit playing "Supergirl" and pass the ball. T'ona must learn never, ever, EVER drive to the basket, be more careful with her passes and NEVEr drive to the basket! That team had quick hands and good anticipation on our passes, but it doesnt help that we didnt learn. We had no one who could score under the basket after they changed their defense to stop that except Vivi and she had trouble. Maddie needs to shoot when she is open. She had one bad pass, but the others (several) were outstanding.

As the starters were introduced and ran on the court, they each threw a rolled up t-shirt into the crowd. Gabbi turned at mid-court and threw hers on a line to the 7th row and hit her father right in the hands. It's about the only good thing she did all night. 0 points, 2 assists, 3 steals against 7 turnovers. She was pressured by a very quick defender and didn't handle it well. Edwards had by far the better night.

Lanesia got the start because of her speed, and she was a monster on defense, but not really the team player on offense - not a matter of attitude, I think, as much as seeing the court and passing ability.

Penza got a little time at the 4, but that still looks like a rotation between Maddie and Shaya. Penza got more time at the wing. She's seriously slow, but combines great passing ability with a knack of always being in the right place at the right time.

Derica proved that the exhibition game shooting was a fluke. Great tonight with a quick release. Made them pay big time for playing a zone.

With better, quicker post defenders tonight, we saw that Kay-Kay is better than Vivi, though both are good, and EJ has a lot of talent and some serious hops, but a lot to learn yet also.

I thought the best five on floor tonight was Maddie, Peyton, Derrica, T'ona, and either Kaylon or Vivi, to me both posts were solid tonight. When T'ona ran the offense and didn't try to do too much, she was fine. Excellent on defense, and this bunch ran the half court trap beautifully. Gap defense was pretty good, off side help defense still needs some work. Penzo will be a pretty good option for us once she gets some experience under her belt. Worst game I have seen Gabbi play. I'll just leave it at that. At times ball movement was exceptional, and then there was the dribble drives into three players. I saw a good 8 player rotation for the most part, still early and we will see improvement as we move on. I really like this team, when they play without too much thinking, they are hard to stop.
