I remember at big 12 media day when WVU was picked 6th Higgins said that if they finish 6th then this will be the toughest conference he's ever been apart of. Our conference isn't very good (Texas lost to chamimade, Baylor lost to charleston today at home, big 12 went 0-5 yesterday) yet they still will finish prolly 6th or 7th lol. They're 1-3 now and look like the worst Huggins team I've ever seen

Good to see a solid effort after the blistering the team got from many on this board after the Gonzaga loss.

Several things to think about.

This is almost like Kruger being a first year coach. He couldn't teach the game he wanted to play last year because he didn't have the depth. So now there is a lot of new for even the returning players.

Their defense is pretty solid until the other team begins to adjust. I think as the year goes on we will do a better job of adjusting to their adjustments.

We have good freshmen but they are not Kentucky freshman good. The will have their ups and downs but I think they will play a big role in conference play.

Pledger and Fitz are still not into the flow with all the new people out there. That should improve. Even Osby a little out of sync. Every thing a little better today. But you are never as bad as you look when losing or as good as you look when you are winning.

Finally, Gonzaga is probably better than their #17 ranking. They are a pretty complete team with three good guards, two good bigs and Harris. We actually defensed them well for most of the first half and stayed with them pretty good.

I bet they get a lot out of this win. Frosh guards got a lot of pressure experience and they all learned execution against the press.
