Courtney walker at a&m and Kamy Cole at TCU have been putting
Up MONSTER Numbers as freshman this year. Imagine if they would of
Stayed committed?

Both are doing quite well. Yet, both seem to be playing the same positions as Aaryn and Maddie. There aren't enough minutes for everyone.

It is also quite interesting to see how they are doing in comparison to Maddie and against whom. Kamy seems to be about all that TCU has at times, which hasn't been enough. I thought Courtney was supposed to be a point?

I feel certain that if Sherri had either or both of those girls, she would find minutes for them. You can never have too many good players.

Some predicted Courtney at the point awhile others saw her as a SG. Glad they are both doing well.

Walker has already had two 20 point games one vs uconn, and she might be leading the team in Minutes played I think shes going to be pretty special.

I'm watching TCU and SMU. We could use Kamy Cole even if she couldn't score because she is a very good defensive player.

I like Walker at sg/pg

but really none of these decommits is 6-2 or taller
and therefore not a big loss with the talent OU has.

I consider it a significant loss because both girls are proving effective in D-1 basketball. We only have 10 players and they would add immediate depth even if they didn't start. We are an injury or two away from being in trouble because I don't think Kornet or Portia are ready to contribute a lot of minutes this year. Jaz is limited and therefore I think both players would move well up the ladder for playing time.

I certainly do agree with you that the greater need is at the 4/5 but I think we would be in much better shape if we had Cole and Walker.

The line on Walker

45 Louisville 47 Two of nine shooting, four points, four turnovers, one assist, 35 minutes

58 Penn State 63 Three of fourteen shooting, zero for one at the line, two turnovers, one assist, six points, in 39 minutes

50 Connecticut 81 Seven of twelve shooting, six of six from the line, twenty points, three assists, three turnovers, seven rebounds, 38 minutes

70 Liberty 55 Nine of twenty shooting, one of one from three and from free throw line, three assists, no turnovers, 34 minutes

88 Southern 48 Four of six from the field, two of three from the line, three turnovers, ten points, 20 minutes

84 Marquette 64 Three of ten from the field, one assist, six points, 23 minutes

Not bad. But, are they that great? Less than 40% from the field. Like Maddie, she is 1-1 from the three point line. Had one game with some rebounds. Certainly not getting a bunch of assists. Has a lot of playing time. Only one road game, Louisville.

The line on Kamy

68 Charlotte 82 Eight of seventeen from the field, four of six from the three-point line, two of four from the three point line, two rebounds, an assist, four turnovers, 22 points, 31 minutes

61 UCF 55 one of eleven from the field, one of five from three, four of four from the line, four rebounds, one assist, no turnovers, seven points, 18 minutes

80 Texas State 91 (road) four of eleven from the field, two of four from three, five of five from the line, three rebounds, one assist, one turnover, 15 points, 21 minutes

76 SMU 70 Two of eleven from the field, one of four from three, two assists, three turnovers, five points, 28 minutes

Shooting thirty percent, curiously, 8 of 19 from three, 49 points in four games

Sounds like 2 freshmen that have potential. We have a couple of those.

Yep, and if we had Walker and Cole, we would have 4 instead of 2.

So true, But the deeper thing with Walker is that she was a top Oklahoma player... Hopefully Sherri can start to lock them down more...

Texas is getting some of the top talent in Texas so is baylor... that alone could keep us as the 3rd or 4th best team in what could because a top heavy league.

I agree. Seeing Walker and Jessica Washington both leave the state was tough, but especially Walker since she committed to OU first.

It seems odd that someone would go out of their way to prove that we didn't need either Cole or Walker when Sherri apparently disagreed with that view completely.

Unrequited love is love that is not openly reciprocated or understood as such. The Beloved may or may not be aware of the admirer's deep and strong romantic affections. The Merriam Webster Online Dictionary defines unrequited as "not reciprocated or returned in kind
"Love the One You're With" is a 1970 single by folk rocker Stephen Stills.
Get on with life and love the ones we got.

Boy we could really use our de committed players now...

Does anyone really believe these 2 would not help us immensely if they were at OU? One starts for A&M and the other is getting huge minutes at TCU and started their last game with SMU.Just because they decided to decommitt from us does not diminish their ability.
