There is a skyscraper perched right where I used to park when I went to the Ford/OKC/Chesapeake Arena. Where are the best places to park these days?

Also, I have a friend who might not be able to get there until around 3:00. Where should she look? She's going to need a handicapped parking spot. She's parked under I-40 before but figures those spots will be gone when she gets there.

And there's a multi-story parking lot next to the Peak, but it's pretty pricey. Beyond those, there are numerous lots to the west in Bricktown.

I notice that the team is leaving for OKC Friday at 4:15 for the Sunday game. Traffic must have gotten worse since I was there. I guess this means they are going to a hotel in OKC?

Everything is up to date in OKC - including traffic!

I think they have all kinds of interviews and publicity stuff on Saturday so they arrive 2 days before the game.

I guess the hotel is part of the NCAA package. Technically it's not a home game. I doubt traffic has that much to do with it. I'm planning 30 minutes up from Norman, 15 minutes to find a place to park and walk over to the arena.

It is this...you pay for the hotel whether you stay in it or not as the NCAA has reserved rooms for all four teams.

For parking there is the Sante Fe parking garage just north of the old Myriad. Otherwise I would suggest the large surface parking lot just east of the railroad tracks...between the railroad tracks and the Harkins theatre due east of the areana.
