With an exhibition game under our belt (and even though Bird didn't play), how does everyone see the 200 player minutes/game breaking down?

I'll go with this...

Clark: 30
Osby: 26
Grooms: 26
Fitz: 24
Pledger: 24
Blair: 18
Neal: 18
Newell: 16
Arent: 12
Others: 6 (primarily in blowouts....wins or losses)

If LK decides to shorten up the bench (to 8 players) when we get into tight games/conference play, I'm afraid Newell might be the odd man out, because you need Arent as a reserve for the inside guys. Clark and Neal will allow you to steal some short stretches playing inside, but we're going to need another big body to log some minues with Osby & Fitz.

I highly doubt that Newell gets squeezed simply because not only was he getting shots for himself but his penetration got shots for others. on Grooms first three it was off of Newell penetration and kick. on one of Cam's three it came off of Newell drive and kick to Grooms who then made the extra pass to Cam for a good look.

I don't think he'll get squeezed either, I think we roll with a 9-man primary rotation....but some are predicting that Coach Kruger will settle on an 8-man rotation...who would such an 8-man rotation include?

Fitzgerald [Arent]
Osby [Neal]
Clark [Pledger, Neal]
Pledger/Newell
Grooms/Blair

I think we roll with a nine-man rotation as well once the season gets going.

I think that is too large of a rotation. I am not sure who will get the bulk of the minutes but I doubt 9 guys will average over 10 per game.

He may get squeezed if he takes bad shoots and turns the ball over. I think we would prefer out PG to initiate our offense most of the time, but if he can improve his handles a bit though, look out.

i think you'll see Washington and Honore some, especially against teams with decent size, like Baylor or KU.
