Pledger disappears again.....

It's ridiculous. Acting like he didn't even show up and try tonight. He played hard. His shot has been inconsistent this year. It was off tonight. He didn't hang his head. He didn't start cranking up shots trying to "get his." He played hard, just not well tonight. It happens.

You don't put up the numbers/stats Pledger put up in his career, and this season, if you aren't a good player.

And I love how people say he cannot shoot. He only had one year where he was the focal point of the offense and that was last year. He put up great stats from the field and behind the arc. The guy is a whipping boy as people have pointed out in this thread. Feel bad for him actually

I don't fault Pledger for not having much to do tonight with the outcome. He is what he is and that's a streaky shooter who is limited on offense and not athletic enough to be a great defender. However, he's still a very good D-1 player and to no fault of his own really only had 2 stable years to learn a position and get better. Under the previous coach he was forced to play the 2 guard his frosh year and PG his soph year (at times) and that's hard for anyone to play those 2 positions when your not really suited for it. Had he have been able to play the 3 from day one, he would have been even better this year offensively and he was still pretty darn good. I wish he didn't do the disappearing acts, but it is what it is.

I will choose to remember Pledger for how well he played in big games we needed to win: KU, OSU, Baylor, WV, etc.

Best of luck Steven. :clap

Well said BOB, I forgot about the PG experiment his sophomore year.

It's over. No need for anything more negative to be said. We wouldn't have made the NIT without pledge, love him or hate him. Thanks Bird.

No reason to hate on Pledger, we just need better players.

Better players from a shrinking pool. If the NCAA would expand MM to 118 teams everybody would get a cookie at the end of the season.
