I don't fault Pledger for not having much to do tonight with the outcome. He is what he is and that's a streaky shooter who is limited on offense and not athletic enough to be a great defender. However, he's still a very good D-1 player and to no fault of his own really only had 2 stable years to learn a position and get better. Under the previous coach he was forced to play the 2 guard his frosh year and PG his soph year (at times) and that's hard for anyone to play those 2 positions when your not really suited for it. Had he have been able to play the 3 from day one, he would have been even better this year offensively and he was still pretty darn good. I wish he didn't do the disappearing acts, but it is what it is.
I will choose to remember Pledger for how well he played in big games we needed to win: KU, OSU, Baylor, WV, etc.
Best of luck Steven. :clap
