Do we need to bring in a jc pg when woodward is not in the game? We seem so much better and offence runs smoother with woodward in the game. Is that a product of woodward himself or having a true point guard running the offene? YOu can argue that with Grooms last year he ran the offence better at times.

I think Hornbeak will be fine running the point when Woodard is out. Some have said he's really struggling with coming off the bench, if he can work through this I wouldn't see the need to sign a pg until next year.

some info I've seen....Per reliable source on Rivals board, Lon has been looking at a couple of juco point guards. They believed they had Nairn locked up, so there wasn’t a plan b at the point. Izzo really put the full court press on in the 11th hour after his targeted pg committed to UK. Yeah, we’re solid at the point, but he said LK wants another up tempo floor general to keep the offense running fast.

He also said he could see OU taking another big and said that OU can be picky at this point with the three quality bigs we signed who can get up and down the floor and who are already playing at a high level defensively. Said OU has inquired about a kid in Virginia last week. He’s a legit 6’10 with some bulk.

Here’s some bad news for us if true….he also heard that Rick Barnes might not make it through the season, and has heard a lot of talk about Josh Pasner being hired and that Buzz Williams would also be a front runner for the Texas job, but is hard to look past Pasner’s connections in the recruiting world, esp. in Texas. SUCK!

Not worried about Texas, we will be fine with Kruger here going forward.

I expect Buzz to be the next coach at texAss. Makes way too much sense and he's a better coach than Pastner.

Jelon was awful against mich st. We need a true pg to spell Woodard who has been excellent as a true fresh

I wonder if they are hoping to get the next two years with Jalen and Woodard then sign Shake. I know CoachTalk said WSU was leading, but Lon and Crutch are working him big time and I think they have a real shot.

I have known Shake since he was little and was friends with his father. He was a big Texas kid growing up and has family from that part of the country. I don't talk to the kid now, but I did hear last year he was warming up to the idea of OU. I hope they can keep working him and get him in. The kid has a big time ceiling, is a gym rat, and a GREAT KID.
