With Grandstaff/Manyang probably gone, does OU try to bring in a SR transfer post player for depth?

Doubtful. Roll with Lattin mcneace Buford freeman and Doolittle.

We'll be fine.

But if they like someone, I'm not hearing names, they'll always try to improve the team

Now would be a great time for Marques Bolden to pull the mother of all fake-outs. He announces Thursday.

FWIW, I'm glad some extra developmental minutes opened up in the post. Manyang had physical tools, but skill limitations. McNease, Doolittle, and Freeman need game action to peg their stock and Khadeem and Dante will command a lot of burn as it is. It's a shame to lose kids for silly reasons, but it could raise some ceiling for our rotation down the road.

I think Doolittle plays a lot. Rebounding machine.

i think he might sneak in at the 4 and start. pushing lattin to the 5. mcneace showed potential but potential is just that.. potential.

who knows. but we need some hungry players

I find it shocking that so many people don't believe Buford is going to start at the 4 next season.

He's not a strong rebounder. Not great size either. He has some potential. But he needs to make some big strides.

The more I hear about Doolittle, the more I think he is an extremely underrated signee. I don't think he starts but I think he plays and really contributes. I think he's got more skill and upside than Buford and I really like Buford.

I think by mid season that Doolittle is getting some good minutes. He will fill out some this summer and with great coaching progress rapidly. I hope he can move his feet on defense like Spangler.

Only got 5 bigs that can play on the team right now! Unless you play Odomes at the 4 more which now losing another guard I don't see happening as much. Lattin Mcnease at 5...Buford, Freeman and Doolittle at 4. I think Doolittle plays a decent amount now. I would bet that the minutes get split at the 4 between all of those guys..

When was the last time we had more than 5 bigs who can play?

I can't imagine even needing more than 5 bigs.

How many college basketball teams have more than 5 bigs who can play? Villanova certainly didn't and they just won the national championship.

Do Buford, Freeman and Doolittle really qualify as bigs? Are any of them going to be bangers down low? Lattin and Mcnease are both very athletic but provide no bulk, and I don't know that I'd qualify the other (two of whom, admittedly, I've never seen play) as bigs.

Very few teams have big bad bangers down low.

We aren't trying to do that unless you get a bolden or ayton etc....

Game is changing again. True "bigs" aren't the norm
